A beautifully design book dedicated to the great luthier Nicolas Lupot, founder of the modern French lutherie. 28 instruments published in total, 20 crafted by Nicolas Lupot between 1790-1824  and others of his contemporaries like Francois Lupot (3), Francois-Loius Pique (2), Léopold Renaudin, Thibout fils and Jacques Pierre Thibout. Foreword by Peter Beare, contributions  by P. Caradot, J.-P. Echard, J. Marolle and S. Milliot placing the Parisian lutherie in its particular context of the French Revolution. Each instrument was precisely analysed by various experts during the Aladfi meeting in 2016 and comes with detailed technical data information.
